The UK’s largest domestic abuse charity, Refuge, has reported a 700% increase in calls to its national helpline recently (Source: The Guardian 12th April 2020). Their national helpline number is 0808 2000 247 and operates 24/7. In an emergency call 999 if you are in any danger. The Refuge Website publishes a great deal of sound advice on identifying and dealing with domestic violence, including strategies that can be adopted if a perpetrator is controlling or coercive. Restored is a Christian organisation which seeks to transform relationships and end violence against women.
